The crane and tiger reveal the theme of the spiritual values of a real warrior, personifying devotion (crane) and courage (tiger).
In China and Japan, the crane was endowed with the qualities of a wise, vigilant and devoted bird. The crane impresses with its grace and stamina, just like a samurai, faithfully serving his master and skillfully wielding his sword.
The tiger, in a positive way, is associated with military affairs. It symbolizes strength of character, physical strength and courage.
Ginkgo leaves flying around the crane also symbolize perseverance and wisdom, and gently falling sakura balances the energy of the furious tiger.
